Doing any in-house wiring fixings needs not so much skills but needs attention and following some basic energoproekt rules.
It is important to be aware of your local regulations regarding electrical works.
In many countries, there are limitations on the work an unlicensed person may do… even the owner of the home. There are also distinctions made between what an unlicensed homeowner can do and what an unlicensed tradesman can do.
There are also distinctions made within types of electrical work. Appliance installation, for example, is always not thought to be disallowed energoprojects if the original wiring and connection was made by a licensed specialist.
Local codes exist due to and are often based on local concerns. Densely crowded territories, such as big cities, tend to have electrical codes severely limiting homeowner electrical work because mistakes can put in danger hundreds or thousands of city-dwellers! Rural codes are often less strict, making possible more owner flexibility and involvement in the process. Local environmental situation such as the possibility of earthquakes, heavy T-storms or cyclones, the level of the water table, amount of rainfall and general humidity, soil structure, and the types of building materials used|available also affect the local electrical code.
Of all the repairs that you may do around your house, the most potentially hazardous errors are in faulty electro-wiring! Countless house fires are caused by poor wiring techniques, substandard materials, cheap extension cords, or broken electrical appliances. The problem and the trap lies in the fake easiness of electrical repairs. Small mistakes can lead to quick and severe consequences. Poor wiring techniques can cause shock hazards that could not be evident until the accident happens.
Quality|Best electrical activities|works depends on consistency and reliability. That is why there is an electrical code, so everyone is familiar on the correct and incorrect path to perform an electrical repair and tuning. If every home was wired according to a random standard, how could anyone without paranormal abilities discover how to troubleshoot a circuit?
We are not going to prevent you from learning and increasing your skills. We wouldn’t have little chance of doing it, anycase. But you should know by now that we are a strong advocate of independence and self-reliance. But if one person burnt his home down because he thought that he could do that electrical job, and was not sufficiently OK to do the job|task right… well, that is not what we had in mind when started this energoproject. We have seen some electrical wiring horrors throughout Russia, and major share|most were undertaken by homeowners who thought that performing electrical wiring|work was no more worthy of care than sweeping the backyard!
